In October of 2004, just
before his 36th birthday Peter had a grande mal seizure. Soon after
he was diagnosed with an “inoperable and terminal” brain
tumour. He and his wife Jennifer wish to share the ongoing experience
through this web site.
February
2006 update— Peter posts
an update.
December
2005 updates — Jennifer and Peter each
writes an update or two.
November 2005 updates — Peter
travelled to an Aboriginal elder to have the tumour treated. An update tells
the story, and a diary entry
tells it in more detail and with some video.
You can read Peter's journal,

““The single most
challenging problem (regarding doctors’ belief in trying new
treatments and clinical trials for brain tumors) is the nihilism
which most physicians have—they
believe a patient with a gbm is dead. Only with the use of the
newer more scientific approaches will there be progress. We have
too many
survivors to ever adopt this give up before you start the fight philosophy.”
